Forwarding calls to another number overrides other call services (such as busy call forwarding or no answer call forwarding set up in Advanced Settings). If the forwarding destination is busy or unavailable, the call cannot be retrieved and will not go to your account voicemail.
The next time you receive an incoming call, the call will forward to the number you selected. Your account phone will ring one time to notify you of the forwarding – if you opted in to that setting.
If you don’t answer an incoming call, by default, it will go to your voicemail. If you’d like all unanswered calls to be forwarded to another number instead, follow these steps.
Note: If you are using a ringing order, an incoming call will be forwarded after all the ringing periods have been completed.
The next time you receive an incoming call that isn’t answered, the call will forward to the specified number after the specified number of seconds it rings.
If your line is busy when you receive an incoming call, by default, it will go to your voicemail. If you’re on the phone and want all incoming calls routed to another number rather than your voicemail, follow these steps.
Note: If you have multiple phones registered on this line, they must all be busy for this action to happen.
The next time you receive an incoming call when your line is busy, the call will forward to the specified number.
If your phone is unavailable (such as unplugged), it will forward incoming calls to your voicemail by default. If you’d like to forward these calls to a different number, you must specify it here.
Incoming calls you receive while your phone is unavailable will now forward to the specified number.
