Simultaneous Ring

If you’re not at your main phone line all the time, simultaneous ring helps you direct incoming calls to up to four different phone lines you choose. The first line that answers receives the call. This feature is ideal for businesses with one main contact number, multiple buildings and an on-call person.

There is a monthly fee for simultaneous ring.

When an incoming call occurs, the first person to answer the call participates in the conversation. The other three phones can continue to send or receive other calls. Please note the following facts about simultaneous ring:

• If multiple phones have voicemail and the call is not answered, the primary phone where the simultaneous ring was initiated will receive the message.
• If call forward busy and simultaneous ring are active on the account, call forward busy will take priority.
• Long-distance charges will apply to you (not the caller) when a simultaneous ring is answered from a long-distance phone number.
• If you have two telephone lines, simultaneous ring cannot ring back and forth between the main line and the additional line.

You can turn on simultaneous ring directly from your business phone or while you’re away from your business.

To activate simultaneous ring from your business:

1. Lift your touch-tone phone’s handset (desk phone) or turn on your cordless phone, and dial *80.
   
   • If you’ve already programmed any number(s) for simultaneous ring and want to review your list of numbers, press 1 for a recording with those details.
2. Press # to indicate that you’d like to add a phone number to receive a simultaneous ring call.
3. Enter the phone number. Be sure to enter the phone number using the same sequence you’d follow if you were calling that number directly. For example, enter 9, or 1 plus the area code, if that is how you normally reach that number.
4. Press #. The system will repeat the phone number to confirm its accuracy.
5. Press # again if you wish to add another phone number. You may add up to four phone numbers.
6. When you are done adding phone numbers, press 3 to activate simultaneous ring.

To activate simultaneous ring while you’re away from your business:

1. Lift your touch-tone phone’s handset (desk phone) or turn on your cordless phone, and dial 1.877.430.7464.
2. Enter the 10-digit phone number that currently has the simultaneous ring feature programmed. Press #.
   
   • If you’ve already programmed any number(s) for simultaneous ring and want to review your list of numbers, press 1 for a recording with those details.
3. Enter your PIN, which is the last four digits of the phone number that currently has the simultaneous ring feature programmed. Press #.
4. Enter the phone number. Be sure to enter the phone number using the same sequence you’d follow if you were calling that number directly. For example, enter 9, or 1 plus the area code, if that is how you normally reach that number.
5. Press #. The system will repeat the phone number so you can confirm its accuracy.
6. Press # again to add another phone number you’d like to use the simultaneous ring feature. You can add up to four phone numbers.
7. Press 3 to activate simultaneous ring for the phone numbers you’ve entered.

You can turn off simultaneous ring directly from your business phone or while you’re away from your business.

To turn off simultaneous ring from your business:

1. Lift your touch-tone phone’s handset (desk phone) or turn on your cordless phone, and dial *80.
2. Turn off simultaneous ring individually for preprogrammed phone numbers, or for all at the same time.
   
   • To review your list of numbers, press 1. Press * to remove a number from the list, and follow the prompts to save your changes.
   • To turn off simultaneous ring for all numbers, press 3.

To deactivate simultaneous ring while you’re away from your business:

1. Lift your touch-tone phone’s handset (desk phone) or turn on your cordless phone, and dial 1.877.430.7464.
2. Enter the 10-digit phone number that currently has the simultaneous ring feature programmed. Press #.
3. Enter your PIN, which is the last four digits of the phone number that currently has the simultaneous ring feature programmed. Press #.
4. Turn off simultaneous ring individually for preprogrammed phone numbers, or for all at the same time.
   
   • To review your list of numbers, press 1. Press * to remove a number from the list, and follow the prompts to save your changes.
   • To turn off simultaneous ring for all numbers, press 3.
